Homeowners and gardening enthusiasts in Centerville will have an opportunity to gather ideas and advice for their spring projects at the 2026 Centerville Spring Expo. The event, organized by the Centerville City Beautiful Commission and The Heart of Centerville and Washington Township, is scheduled for Saturday, April 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sinclair Centerville, located at 5800 Clyo Rd. Admission is free and open to all members of the public.

The expo will feature vendor exhibits from businesses throughout Centerville and Washington Township, providing a range of home improvement ideas, landscaping inspiration, and access to local experts.

In addition to vendor displays focused on current trends in home and garden design, attendees can participate in three live expert sessions:

At 9:15 a.m., a Home and Garden Panel titled “Spring Cleaning 101” will offer practical advice for preparing homes’ exteriors and interiors ahead of the Great American Garage Sale. Experts will share tips on improving curb appeal and decluttering strategies.

At 9:45 a.m., Brandon Parks, horticulturist with Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus, will present “Perennials That Perform: Botanical Color Year-Round.” Parks’s session will address how to select native and non-native perennials that provide color throughout the seasons while supporting pollinators. He will discuss plants such as daylilies that are well-suited for local conditions. Parks said his presentation would emphasize “the right plant in the right place,” helping homeowners choose plants that thrive while enhancing sustainability and biodiversity.

At 11:15 a.m., Jotham Smith, certified arborist for the City of Centerville, will discuss management strategies for boxwood moth infestations affecting landscapes across the region during his session “Boxwood Battles and Backups.” Smith’s talk also includes recommendations for alternative foundational plants as replacements if needed. Additionally, he will provide updates about the spotted lanternfly following last month’s statewide quarantine measures.

Attendees can register onsite for door prizes during the event.

Sponsors include the Centerville City Beautiful Commission, Keep Centerville Beautiful, the City of Centerville, and The Heart of Centerville and Washington Township.
