On Friday, Feb. 7, former Carroll High School standout Mathew McMahan’s current college team, the Columbus State Cougars, lost 15-6 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears.

The game took place at Zell B. Miller Field. This was their first matchup against the Bears this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 12 p.m. at Zell B. Miller Field against Young Harris Mountain Lions.
