This weekend’s weather is perfect to get outside! Be sure to keep an eye out for any large trees in the City of Beavercreek. If you see one, submit a picture of it to the Tree Advisory Board’s ‘Champion Tree Contest' in honor of Arbor Day.
Submit your pictures and information to treeadvisoryboard@beavercreekohio.gov. Please include the tree’s location, type (if known), and circumference (measure at chest height).
The contest ends April 24. On Arbor Day, April 29, the board will announce a winner, who will receive a gift card from Knollwood Garden Center, and share a map of all the trees submitted in the contest.
Remember, the tree must be within Beavercreek city limits and do not enter private property without the owner’s permission.
