The City of Oakwood Ohio issued the following announcement on January 31.
Public Safety Department Promotions
On January 3, 2022, Public Safety Officer Justin Slone was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Slone serves as the Crew 2 supervisor. Prior to joining the Oakwood Public Safety Department in January 2018, Lieutenant Slone was a firefighter/paramedic with the city of Fairborn.
On January 31, 2022, Lieutenant Mike Tanner was promoted to the rank of Captain. Captain Tanner serves as the Operations Captain. Prior to joining the Oakwood Public Safety Department in March 2010, Captain Tanner was a firefighter / paramedic with the city of Middletown.
