The Beavercreek Police Department is taking part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal is to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Pills must be taken out of its container or packaging, and placed in a clear bag. The department cannot accept liquids, sharp items such as needles, or inhalers.

There will be several drop-off locations throughout Greene County, including the Beavercreek Police Department, 1388 Research Park Drive. Additionally, the department will be collecting and properly disposing of old flags.
