Tom Young | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Tom Young has been appointed as Chair of the House Workforce and Higher Education Committee for the 136th General Assembly. The appointment was made by Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman.
Young expressed his gratitude, stating, “I’m honored Speaker Huffman has asked me to lead the Workforce and Higher Education Committee again.” He highlighted past achievements, saying, “In the previous general assembly, the Higher Education Committee was able to work with Ohio’s private and public institutions to roll out the science of reading. I hope to continue this relationship as we strive to make Ohio’s workforce and education system better.”
In addition to his role as chair, Young will serve on several other committees including the House Financial Institutions, Finance, and Personal Insurance and Pensions committees.
