City of Beavercreek Ohio - Municipal Government issued the following announcement on February 18.
The Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA) presented Beavercreek’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Division and Miami Valley Recreation Activities Council (MVRAC) with a statewide award for “Management Innovation.” This award recognizes the two agencies for their innovative thinking in offering a virtual internship program in 2021.
More than 125 programs and projects were nominated OPRA awards this year. Twenty-seven agencies throughout Ohio were recognized. Awards were judged by a panel of 40 parks and recreation professionals from across the state.
