City of Kettering, Ohio - Government issued the following announcement on March 10.

Which Kettering park was almost named Steller Park? Was it Oak Park, Ernst Park, Southdale Park or Kennedy Park?  The Steller family owned the land that became the YMCA and Ernst Park.  The name Ernst Park was selected to honor George L. Ernst, longtime treasurer of the school district and an avid supporter of the incorporation movement. Ernst Park is one of 21 spectacular parks right here in Kettering.
