City of Beavercreek Ohio - Municipal Government issued the following announcement on March 24.
The city’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Division is gearing up for its summer camp and is now hiring camp counselors!
The division is offering 8-weeks of consecutive camp beginning June 6 through the end of July, Monday through Friday, at Fairbrook Elementary School. Counselors will plan and direct activities including games and sports for campers, and assist with field trips. This is a great position for those who enjoy working with children and the outdoors! If your child is between the ages 14 and 17, and would like experience to become a camp counselor, the division offers a Counselor in Training (CIT) program. The purpose of the program is to provide participants with training in how to use effective leadership skills and work effectively with children at camp. CITs will work directly with summer camp staff and campers. They are given responsibilities ranging from setting up activities to leading small craft projects or games.
